Patrick Hentsch-Cowles, MS, LPC, NCC, CSAT

Patrick Hentsch-Cowles earned his Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas. He is also a member of the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH), the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT).

Patrick’s clinical experience includes years of working with individual adult and adolescent clients, and couples, with presenting concerns that include but are not limited to sexual compulsivity, sexual trauma, gender and/or sexual identity issues, social phobia, substance and process addictions, and juvenile delinquency.

Patrick’s approach to counseling is informed and inspired by his own experience and understanding of recovery as well as his academic and professional training. His clinical competence has benefitted from over four years of working with many of the nation’s top therapists in the field of sex addiction. He embraces a holistic approach to therapy, focusing on addressing and resolving the underlying psychological causes of the dysfunctional symptoms that manifest in his clients’ lives.

“My mission is to serve as a guide and facilitator towards an empowered, spiritually connected, and self-directed life. Individuals who are discouraged by, and feel powerless over their impulsivity and compulsions, battle against their own behaviors, emotions, and thoughts, and who have lost their connection with living in joy, are those I feel compassionately called to serve.“
