What this group is — and isn’t

This is a therapist-led process group grounded in trauma-informed care. It is a place to be honest without being judged, to understand the roots of a pattern, and to practice new choices alongside people walking a similar path.

Understanding, not labels

We look at the emotions, stress, and history that drive behavior — so change comes from insight and self-compassion, not just self-control.

Honest accountability

A supportive group holds you to the commitments you set for yourself, in a way that feels steadying rather than punishing.

Real skills

You’ll build practical tools for managing triggers, urges, and difficult moments, and for living more in line with your values.

How it works

Because this is deep, personal work, everyone begins the same way — with a conversation.

1

Private assessment

You’ll meet one-on-one with one of our therapists to talk through what’s bringing you in and whether the group is a good fit right now.

2

Placement

If the group is right for you, we’ll place you in the next available weekly session — in person in Dallas or online. Groups meet weekly for 90 minutes, and we’ll go over the current group times together during your assessment to find one that fits your schedule.

3

Weekly work

You’ll join a consistent group each week, setting goals, processing what’s coming up, and building momentum over time.

Who this group is for

  • Individuals who feel their sexual behavior has become compulsive, secretive, or out of step with their values.
  • People who have tried to change on their own and want structure, support, and accountability.
  • Anyone carrying shame around these patterns who wants a space free of judgment.
  • Those ready to understand the “why” beneath the behavior, not just manage the symptoms.

Common questions

Why is an assessment required first?

This work is personal and sometimes tender. A brief, private assessment helps us understand your situation and make sure the group can genuinely support you — and that you’ll be joining a group that’s the right fit.

Is this therapy?

It’s a therapist-led process group. It can be a powerful complement to individual counseling, and for some people it works alongside their own therapist. During your assessment we’ll talk about what combination of support makes sense for you.

How much do I have to share?

You’re always in control of what you share and when. The group is built on confidentiality and mutual respect, and you can participate at a pace that feels safe.

Can I attend online?

Yes. The group is offered in a hybrid format — in person at our Dallas office or securely online — so you can take part in the way that works for your life.

What does it cost?

Group sessions are $100 each. The initial assessment is arranged when you reach out, and we’ll go over everything clearly before you commit.

Ready to take the first step?

Change is possible — and you don’t have to do it alone. Reach out to request your private assessment, and we’ll help you find the right starting point.
